My condolences to Sigur Rós fans who were looking forward to their new album in 2010. It was apparently just a rumor. Fact is that the members are making babies (not among themselves, of course) and that...they ran out of juice, the creative kind. HAH! Here, read this article, if you don't believe me.
Frontman, Jónsi Birgisson, will be out with a solo album in March though, titled "Go". Listen to the single 'Boy Lilikoi' at his website here. I like it. I forgive them.
Speaking of March releases...
Swedes electro pop duo The Knife is having a go at some kind of 'electro opera'.Listen to the free streaming of 'Tomorrow, in a year' to hear what I mean. The studio version of the opera will be released 1st March.
It's like eating hotdog dipped in peanut butter, it's an acquired taste. I haven't asked my taste buds yet if they like it, I'll be sure to do so when they're ..actually ..y'know..paying attention.
As Karin and Olof once sang in 'Marble House':
